Loula (Spyridoula) Gerasimidou

Spyridoula Gerasimidou is a Ph.D. student at the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds with a University Research Scholarship. She is an Environmental Engineer and member of Technical Chamber of Greece. She is a holder of M.Sc. in “Waste and Water Resources Management and Technology” from Democritus University of Thrace. She has worked as scientific staff at the Laboratory of Solid and Hazardous Waste Management at the Democritus University of Thrace for two years. She has obtained research experience in anaerobic digestion of organic solid waste, composting analysis and other laboratory skills. She published articles on scientific journals and conferences during her under- and post- graduate studies. Spyridoula is currently specializing in Solid Recovered Fuels (SRF), investigating the thermal behavior of SRF and developing tools aiming to optimize SRF quality.
